Welcome to the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology!

Our department's degree program completion wholly prepares students for a number of post graduate health professional programs as well as veterinarian programs. Up to 40% of our graduates are accepted into medical school and our department is devoted to producing graduates that want to become Oklahoma health professionals. As a family of research scientists, we also encourage students to seek more training to become future research professionals.

Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
Career prospects seem bright for someone trained in the molecular sciences. Projections for the next 20 years indicated that there will be thousands of unfulfilled science and engineering jobs. A large fraction of the shortage will be in the fields of genetics, biochemistry and molecular biology.
