2009 Application Deadlines

Requirements

GRE: minimum 1150 combined Verbal and Quantitative, 4.0 on Analytical writing. Subject test is not required, but is recommended. 
TOEFL: 79 internet based test (iBT), 213 computer based test (CBT), 550 paper based test (PBT).
GPA: 3.0 or greater on a scale of 4.0.

To apply for a PhD Graduate Research or Teaching Assistantship you should complete the following seven (7) steps:

A. Send these documents to the Graduate College:

1.  Complete the graduate college application forms and pay the application fee. Application forms can be obtained and submitted online at: http://gradcollege.okstate.edu/default.htm

2.  An official ETS or certified copy of your GRE (School code 6546 Department code 0202) and TOEFL (School code 6546 Department code 34).

3.  One certified copy of your university or college transcripts.

B. Send these documents directly to the Department:

4.  Fill out an OSU, Stillwater Application for a position on the Instructional, Research or Administrative Staff form. Staff Form

5.  An official ETS or certified copy of your GRE (School code 6546 Department code 0202)

6.  A copy of your curriculum vitae or resume.

7.  At least three (3) letters of reference. Letters must be sent either in sealed envelopes, by email (biochemistry@okstate.edu), or by FAX (405-744-7799).

8.  A "Personal Statement" of why you are interested in our program at OSU.
